I'm spending this dark, rainy winter day looking back at some past weddings and to Jon and Gill's beautiful wedding at House for an Art Lover. Being light after 6 and being able to keep my jacket inside while we're out shooting seems like so long ago, it's hard to believe it was only a few months. I really loved the earth tones of the flowers and the bridesmaid's dresses, especially against the autumn colours of the venue. We were really lucky with the weather, it was overcast for most of the day but it never followed through with the constant threats of rain.
Jon and Gill had brought a lot of guests up from London, and I always enjoy a ceilidh when this is the case! You have about half of the room knowing exactly what to do and the other half just winging it, and it's always chaos! We ended the night with a sparkler shot which, due to a complete miscommunication, all 90+ guests decided to come out for! They weren't too happy when I said they could go back in (lighting all of those sparklers with a handful of lighters wouldn't have went down well!), but they managed to have their own sparkler party without us (I didn't feel at all left out, honest...).
Congratulations again to Jon and Gill, and thanks for having me along!
