I always get excited when a wedding comes through for Paxton House. Although it's a bit out of the way from me here in Glasgow, it's so varied and beautiful that you're hard pushed not to find a great space there for photographs.

Andy and Megan live close to the venue, so knew the place and the staff well, and also knew exactly what they wanted from their intimate afternoon wedding there. This was the first time I'd shot a ceremony down by the boathouse, and I completely lucked out because it was an absolutely glorious day! Once the factor 50 was on, I could get to work capturing their amazing outdoor ceremony before whisking them away from a little walk around the area for some couple shots.

The music and food kept everyone entertained throughout the sunny afternoon, and before long it was dinner and speeches time, right when the weather was getting to that lovely cooling-off point. It was honestly such a perfect setting, having dinner in the bog open doored boathouse with the water right there, and I can't wait for the next opportunity I get to visit again!
